What Is CPA Affiliate Marketing – Long Term Wealth Builder or Short Term Quick Money?

For a long time I was not fully aware of what CPA actually stood for. At first I thought it meant Certified Public Accountant, or Cost Per Acquisition. However, in this writing I’m specifically talking about Cost Per ACTION Marketing, which is very much different.

As an affiliate of this model your sole responsibility is to get traffic that lands on your page to take a specific action step. This could be as simple as just having somebody enter their email into an offer, or fill out a form with their information, or sometimes even to just get a phone number.

There are benefits to doing this kind of marketing, as well as some disadvantages. Put simply all you really need to do when marketing is drive highly targeted traffic to your CPA offer that you choose to promote. It really IS that simple… If you already know about market research, and how to drive traffic, all of which I have talked about in my previous writings you will understand that there isn’t much to it when it comes to marketing online.

However, there is one downside to this model of business. The ONLY downside that I see is that you must continue to drive traffic day in and day out in order to get a paycheck. As soon as you stop driving traffic and stop receiving opt-ins, or whatever they want you to do, you simply stop getting paid. That’s it. Your job is essentially over and you’re looking for work again the next day.

This is the problem that most marketers run into, is that they keep moving from niche to niche, promoting product after product, in an endless cycle that never truly ends. This is where LTV marketing comes forth…

… LTV marketing stands for: Lifetime Value Marketing, aka your lifetime value per customer. This is a rather fascinating concept because with this model you are now focused more on actually giving value to your prospects, rather than giving them a specific offer right off the bat.

So, instead of giving them a chance to opt in, or buy something, you would now simply offer them a free ebook, or video course that will help them grow in some type of way. When they decide to opt in into the email offer they will now be introduced not only to your system, but also to long lasting business relationship.
